Where is this shoe made?

Don't know but they are most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Highly recommend these.

Do these shoes fit snugly? I have a problem with the slip-on/clog style dansko's being a bit too loose and was hoping laces would keep them in place.

The Dansko Oxford is a sturdy shoe that fit as expected. The laces do work to aid the shoe in hugging my feet. My only complaint is that, as with most dress shoes, the rigid heel cuts into my skin with its low height; at least, until well broken in.

Is the sole soft/cushioned/squishy, or firm?

The outside sole is a firm soft if that what your talking about. If your talking about Insoles, I use custom orthotics.

They run a little big, if you are not wearing special inserts you should be fine. If you are go up a size.

Are they oil slip resistant for kitchen use??

Yes thay seemed to be. They were so heavy and hard I could never break them in. I ended up pitching them. Like 125.00 in the trash.

Does Dansko sell insert replacements? Mine are compressed after about 6 months.

No sure, I wear custom orthotics so I take Dansko out.

I cannot answer you question on size, I can however inform you that these shoes were very heavy to wear and dragged me down, I wasted 125.00 and would not purchase again.

My shoes just arrived and they're very stiff, pinching at the toe slightly. Should I expect them to break in and pinch less over time?

My Dansko Walker broke in after just a few times wearing them now I wear them everyday to work.
