Is this attachment appropriate for making hummus?

Only if you plan on making a wholllleeeee lot of it. I used it to shred boiled chicken and the pan was 2 inches to shallow and my whole kitchen was coated in chicken before I could shut it off.

Can this unit be submersed entirely for deep pot?
