It has a CAT IV 1000 V rating, which means it can withstand up to 1000 volts of electrical current without failing. While this product is designed to detect voltage in various applications, it lacks an audible beep to signal when voltage is present. The red light indicator is the only way to identify voltage, which makes it difficult for those working in commercial settings when the nearest known live circuit is on the other side of the building.
