Answer : Yes you can use it to make a patch in a cotton shirt, but the patch will not stretch like the rest of the t-shirt. This webbing is designed to prevent the fabric from stretching.

Answer : NO it does not have a 'peel off backing' you are looking for something like Heat N Bond 'IRON ON ADHESIVE'
Question : Can I use this with a heat press to fuse it and if so at what temp would be recommended?
Answer : Not sure what you mean by 'fuse.' This interfacing has one sticky side so it can fuse (iron) to a piece of fabric, but would not work to fuse two pieces together.

Answer : Dry cloth works best if you are going to place the iron onto the interfacing. If the fabric you are ironing to can tolerate direct iron heat, you can adhere it by ironing on the fabric side. Just make sure the interfacing is laying flat with no wrinkles or folds.
Question : How does this compare to pellon 931td midweight?
Answer : It is lighter weight than that. It works well with lighter weight material like silky type fabrics. I used inside of homemade mask but used two layers.

Answer : Press with a hot iron. No steam.
Question : I will be using this to line fabric purses that I am making, I will be using a sewing machine is this a sewable product?
