NO it does not have a 'peel off backing' you are looking for something like Heat N Bond 'IRON ON ADHESIVE'

Not sure what you mean by 'fuse.' This interfacing has one sticky side so it can fuse (iron) to a piece of fabric, but would not work to fuse two pieces together.

This fusible bond works great. I make t-shirt quilts. So I go through lots. Hope this helps.

Dry cloth works best if you are going to place the iron onto the interfacing. If the fabric you are ironing to can tolerate direct iron heat, you can adhere it by ironing on the fabric side. Just make sure the interfacing is laying flat with no wrinkles or folds.

How does this compare to pellon 931td midweight?

It is lighter weight than that. It works well with lighter weight material like silky type fabrics. I used inside of homemade mask but used two layers.

Can this be used to make a Mondo Bag?

Press with a hot iron. No steam.

I will be using this to line fabric purses that I am making, I will be using a sewing machine is this a sewable product?

Yes, it helps to iron it on first but sewing through the fabric is no problem at all. Hope it goes well for you.
