The ASR Outdoor 32oz Geology Rock Pick Hammer is a cheap cast steel hammer that is rough cast. While it feels decent and has an okay finish, it is not a high-quality tool. The hammer is made in China, despite being designed in the USA. The packaging is poor, as it is shipped in a thin flat rate envelope. If you are new to geology or prospecting, this hammer may be sufficient, but for serious use, it is recommended to invest in a forged hammer.
