- ONE-TOUCH SAFETY LOCK BUTTON — In order to operate the Smart Arm, the one-touch safety lock button must be initiated. The safety lock ensures that your settings are just how you left them
- AWNING RAIL LIGHTING CONTROL — Awning lights (sold separately) can be turned on or off outside your RV by simply pressing the lighting button
- OPTIONAL MULTI-LEVEL WIND SENSING TECHNOLOGY — With three different levels of wind sensitivity, this sensor automatically retracts your awning when inclement weather arrives (Wind Sensor sold separately)
- OPTIONAL INFRARED SECURITY SYSTEM —This feature will activate the optional IR Security Sensor, providing added security and convenience. The awning lights will illuminate in the automatic setting when the photocell senses heat and motion (Infrared Security Sensor sold separately)

Solera Editorial Review
The Solera 12V Smart Arm Awning Hardware Kit is a great product with easy installation, but the instructions and wiring diagram that come with the product are not very helpful. However, online videos from etrailer.com are useful. Although the kit comes with a wind sensor and a controller, they are difficult to hide in the awning arms without pinching. The controller is positioned in the arm outside, which makes it vulnerable to water damage, and anyone can operate the awning at any time. Therefore, it is better to buy only the simple smart arm.

- Can be installed on either flat or aluminum siding with ridges
- Has a manual override in case of power failure

- Poor instructions and wiring diagrams
- Controller and wind sensor are difficult to hide in the awning arms without pinching
- Controller is positioned outside the arm so it's vulnerable to water damage
- Anyone can operate the awning at any time
