However, if you decide to fire it to cone 10, it is recommended that you make some test tiles first as it is formulated for cone 6. This pottery glaze is not recommended for under firing, as it is formulated for cone 5 and cone 6, so it may not mature well or adhere properly to the clay. This glaze can also be used for pit firing, as long as the temperature can be raised to 2185°F.
