I saw a review that mentioned the shoe being snug - was this in the toe or the section in the middle of the shoe?

I'm not sure for that review. Personally, they fit great for me (however I do wear my shoes loose) the sole is cushy. Would recommend.

Are these comfortable to stand in for 8-hour shifts?

I had no time to break and had to wear them for 13 hours straight. They rubbed the back of my heels a bit but I wasn't wearing the right socks. I had no problems otherwise and wear them frequently. They are low shoes so if you wear anything other than no-see socks, they are going to show.

How is the arch support?

It's actually pretty good. I'm on my feet for 8+ hours and my feet don't hurt.

Answer : More flat on the inside.
Question : How do these hold up in very greasy environments? I work in a kitchen, at the grill and fryers. There is always tons of grease.
