Question : I bought one and it’s drawing even when an inch above the screen. What do I need to set to fix this?
Answer : The parallax is something that you will need to get used to. Doing a full reset on the installation of the monitor works and make sure you download the newest drivers from the XP Pen website, the driver disk included is kind of out of date. That’s where I started. Oh and uninstall any tablet drivers or any other art tablets, those interfere with the signal. YouTube has videos on this stuff which helped me out. Just search for your monitor through there and you can get some better tips.
Question : Do you need additional software like photoshop or illustrator to use this tablet? Or does it have its software pre-installed?
Answer : This is one of those graphic tablets that require a computer to run. It’s not a standalone tablet like a cintiq companion or an iPad. Think of it as an additional monitor to your computer you can draw on. This is compatible with most updated art programs so you have a selection of freeware like SAI or Krita.
