The blade is 1" wide, the body of the plane is 1-1/8", so there is 1/16" on each side.

Stanley 12-101 Small Trimming Plane

The Stanley 12-101 Small Trimming Plane is a versatile tool that works well for small projects. It is not intended for large timbers but rather for small light work. The blade is 1" wide and very sharp. It can be adjusted to the exact depth needed with some trial and error. The blade is high carbon chrome steel, nickel-plated, and needs to be sharpened on a benchstone regularly. Replacement blades can be found online but are expensive. It is perfect for jewelry box drawer and frame edges, removing laminate bevels, and fixing water-swollen moldings. The plane is manufactured in Mexico but some users have received defective blades.
