Question : What is the main focus of the manufacturer?
Answer : The manufacturer's main focus is on producing rugged, reliable, professional-grade products that are reasonably priced.
Question : What type of products does the manufacturer offer?
Answer : The manufacturer offers a diverse range of award-winning products designed with modern technology for powerful devices.
Question : What is the approach of the manufacturer towards their product development process?
Answer : The manufacturer is always modernizing their products to meet the demands of the modern user.
Question : What does the DVI adapter do for a motorcycle CDI box?
Answer : The DVI adapter will check the peak voltage output to the ignition coil and also check the peak voltage of your stator coil and pick up coil. So while it can't directly check a CDI's functionality, it will allow you to verify everything else is working properly so you can deduce whether the cdi is bad or not bu the process of elimination.
Question : Does the DVI adapter work with digital meters?
Answer : Yes it will work with digital meters. Best to have a meter with .00 decimals. It will not work without a meter.
Question : Can the DVI adapter tell you if you have a bad CDI box on a motorcycle?
Answer : You plug this into your digital multimeter. It conditions a steady reading and display of the peak voltage of the primary ignition waveform. It can tell you if the cdi box is bad and not capable of required voltages....provided there are manufacturer specs available. This information is normally found in the appropriate repair manuals.
Question : How do you use a direct voltage tester to test for no spark situation on a motorcycle?
Answer : Main test is checking ac voltage coming from ipg or hall sensor(crank position sensors)they are located around stator. Need to check voltage why starting unit. Refer to service manual for correct ac voltage output
Question : Will the DVI adapter work with a Fieldpiece meter?
Answer : The meter needs to have fast response and a peak hold feature in the volts DC setting.
Question : Will the DVI adapter work with an analog VOM?
Answer : The output can be read by any analog meter, but the banana jacks are standard 4mm. If your vom can accept those plugs, you're good. Since all other DVA adapters on here are basically copies of ours, I assume all of them have the same size plugs.
Question : How low a peak voltage can the DVI adapter measure?
Answer : I have used it to measure as low as about 20 peak volts. It has worked for rectangular (square wave) pulses and exponential decay pulses.
Question : Does the DVI adapter convert to DC like the CDI units or pass thru the AC?
Answer : It allows a DMM to read the peak DC voltage of a primary ignition waveform. A DMM can not sample fast enough to display a usable voltage reading emanating from an ignition waveform. Otherwise, you would need to use an oscilloscope to view and measure the voltage reading.
Question : Can I just connect my digital MM clips to it if the banana clip spacing is wrong for my meter?
Answer : Yes
Question : How long are the leads of the DVI adapter?
Answer : The leads are 45 inches long. And the voltage adapter is 2 inch
