I believe it warms from the bottom and sides. The top of the warmer has a flap that allows you to pull the wipes out. You add a little water and it’s a light (warmer) that keeps the wipes at a warm temperature. I would highly recommend. The other wipe warmers that requires pads kept burning out and was a complete waste of money to continue buying pads for the warmer.

What’s the suitable voltage for it? Can it be used in UK?

Well we use 110v in the States. You’d have to put a transformer on it I would think.

You may use whichever clean wipes you prefer, provided they are standard size: 7" x 4.3" x 1.9".
