It can find network sockets and connections and also has additional features such as power cable scanning and POE switch test functions. The device comes with two components, the emitter and receiver, both of which require a 9V battery. The tool can send a tone to a wire and detect it using the other part of the kit. The cable tester is also very accurate and can be used with coax cables as well. It is a sturdy and easy-to-use device that is very useful for tracing network cabling.
