SENNMONN M8x1.25 Thread Repair Kit is a great tool to have for repairing threads in different applications. It Consists of a 12mm insert HSS drill, tap, installation driver, and 10 stainless steel inserts. Unlike helicoils, SENNMONN is easier to install and has a unique locking design that keeps it from backing out. Additionally, the insert is solid, making new threads stronger than the original tapped aluminum. The only downside is that it requires another counter sink which is not that sharp.
