Hi Robert, I have not seen any maximums or minimums on this product. However, most foam board is 1/8 or 3/16 which it will probably cut very well. The number of sheets it can cut at one time may depend on the amount of blade length when the tool is in you. I hope this helps. Thanks, Booker

Not likely very well. Maybe light/thin cardboard, but it definitely won't give a clean cut to anything tough.

Will this work for cutting somewhat precise straight lines if used with a heavy duty ruler?

Yes! I used a heavy cork backed metal ruler for straight lines and worked fine.

Will this cut through EVA foam for a marine flooring application?

It is pretty light duty. I doubt it.
