Has anyone used these in an industrial application or strictly for backyard/garage projects?

I am a Painting Contractor who uses these for paint removal and rough sanding before repainting. Use a hard stiff plastic backing disc with these for best results. I think these discs are very good quality and would buy again.

Will this disk stick to Velcro?

No. The center hole is for you to attach a nut that goes to your 5/8 arbor. These are very stiff pads not like sandpaper.

Does the back stick or velcro?

Neither. This is attached to a backing pad. The backing is hard fiber not paper or cloth.
