However, it is important to note that the drop needs to be at least 8 inches or so for the siphon to hold. While the length of the tubes can be cut shorter, it is essential not to cut them too short. Transferring edible products using this siphon is safe, and the ribbed hose needs to be pulled straight down to create the drop. The siphon works best with liquids, but it may not work with thick fluids. The longest pipe of the siphon measures 12 inches, and it may fit into lawn mower tanks and be used to remove debris from the bottom. Pros are that it is easy to use, does the job, is inexpensive, and works perfectly for refreshing and refilling an Aerogarden. Cons are that it may break within minutes of use, did not fit what some customers wanted it for, and did not work for some customers.
