The RJ45 Cable Tester Network Cable Tester Ethernet Wire Test Tool for LAN Phone RJ45 RJ11 RJ12 Cat5 Cat5e Cat6 Cat6a Cat7 UTPShield Cable is a user-friendly tool designed to test the connectivity and continuity of ethernet wires. Users only need to put the control on one end and the remote on the other, and turn it on. The lights on the control and the remote should match Consecutively to indicate that the line is good. However, this unit only tests wires and will not test ethernet ports on a PC. It is suitable for testing Cat8 cables, although it has not been tested on them yet. Although the device does not come with instructions, users can Google RJ45 Color Codes for reference. It should work when testing new offices to run down Cat connections. It can also indicate if the pins are wired correctly or crossed in RJ11 and RJ45 cables.
