Why does a crunchy substance develop in the top of the bottle after the first use?

The short answer is that when the lime sulfur liquid is exposed to air (oxygen) the sulfur in the solution tries to crystallize into a solid. If you put the bottle in warm water the solid will dissolve back into the solution.

Does anyone know how much sulfur is in this (what the concentration is)?

No I don’t but it definitely in there smells awfu

I do not know. We have used it on our animals ever since I was little girl it never hurt our animals I have seen my family use it on their skin and it never hurt you

Can you use it around the eyelid area?

I would try not to get it in the eye..it smells so bad I’m sure it would burn..but this product is wonderful.
