Comp bells can be used for all KB training. I perfer the Comp bell in most cases so I can transtion down to the ground to do Renegade rows or pushups. The bottoms are more stable.

Well i only have one matched pair so far, not a large sample size. I can say of the two i have, one handle had a slight texture on the inner grip. Probably due to final finishing oversight. Smoothed right out with some fine grit sandpaper. Now both are buttery smooth steel finish and ready for high rep work.

Can i do two hand swings with this kb or do i need a cast iron kb, which one should i get?

I would get a cast iron fur your normal kettlebell routine, these competition bells are primarily for the snatch.

The 35lb is good for general conditioning and cardio for both of you. The 50lb is makes for a great workout and some muscle gain. If your both already strong you may go with a 50ish lb. if you’ve never swung the bell I would start with a 35lb. I personally stay away from adjustable type. Just buy one to start then you can work up to double drills. Mike Mahler has a wealth of info and routines online that really help.
