The oil fill is on the left side as your looking at the vibrator. It takes about 3 -4 oz of oil. You can’t over fill cause it will just spill out from the oil fill plug

For the vibration drum, there is a fill bolt similar to a differential hogs head.

Does the vibrator use the same oil as the engine?

In the instruction manual, it says use sae 30 oil in the vibrator. I have over 100 hrs on mine and no issues.

Is it normal to leak oil from the vibrator?

When I overfilled my drum it leaked pretty bad. For the price this is compared to a similar model I just put up with it.

Could something like this be used to even out patio pavers?

Not recommended. Most paver suppliers specifically say not to use plate compactors on pavers. It is intended to pack and level the base materials under the pavers.

I’m only getting around 2200 rpm at wide open throttle, manual says you should be around 3,500. Anyone else have this happened?

No, I have had this unit for about 2 years now. Had no major issues. If the fuel is old, it will not work well. I had a hard start, I changed the plugs, and it started and runs great.

Does it work at 45 degree slope?

Hmmm that would be hard. If you go sideways to the slope it would vibrate diagonally downward as you go. That might be ok?
