Do these run off batteries or usb rechargeable and solar option?

They run off of batteries, there are some different ones that have those options.

Triple or double A batteries? Saw another of what looked like the same product but it said double, this says triple.

This is triple A and they are slightly smaller than the double A version. They are still very bright and work great. I’ve had both.

Why is there a warning on the package not to look at LED light for more than a few seconds?

They emit radiation at a higher frequency than X-rays, stare at it and your brain will disintegrate. ;) For the same reason you're not supposed to look at the sun. I suppose there are idiots out there that would stare at the bright light and damage their eyes.
