I believe these are better suited for something you will not have to look at everyday. They are not the cheapest brush but good for wall touch up or between coats if your sanding. Final polyurethane coat needs a better grade of brush.

Type in the search bar “brushes for chalk paint” and you’ll see some natural bristled brushes that are round. Those are the best for chalk paint. I didn’t think it made any difference, but it really does.

What is the best type of paint brush for painting 1/4 round baseboard and door frames?

That’s a complicated answer. The size matters depending on how large your base and trim is and if you prefer a flat or angle brush. The filaments vary on the best depending on what kind of paint your using.

How many brushes are in the package?

There are five brushes. It’s a great price for that many brushes. They don’t rust and I never find the brush hairs in my paint

How much evidence of brush strokes with these?

The warmer the paint, the less brush strokes you will have.

Can I use it for gel stainers?

Yes. They are solid round taper filaments so are fine for gel stains also.

Pro Grade - Paint Brushes - 5 Ea - Paint Brush Set

The brushes are an affordable option for DIY projects and they come in a pack of five, which makes it a great value for money. These brushes are suitable for all paint stains and poly coatings. However, they are not recommended for the final coat of polyurethane, it is better to use a higher grade brush. When using warmer paint, there will be less evidence of brush strokes. Although they are not the highest quality brushes, they still deliver considering the price point.
