They are sturdy with a good writing surface that can be easily marked with permanent marker or soft pencil. Although the markers are slightly smoother than other brands, sanding the surface with a fine sandpaper makes it easier to write on. Each marker has a small hole for hanging and is perfect for plant starts, greenhouse, and patio markers. The markers also insert easily into the soil.
