No, this is not a problem. I have been using this product for months and I have found the same thing with color.

I don't use the Vegan Shampoo. I use the shampoo that is DHT Blocking it is Sulfate free but says nothing about gluten-free. You can write to Shapiro MD and ask them; they are really good about answering your questions.

No, it will not help with chemo-induced hair loss. This product is promoted for people that have hair loss due to DHT (not chemo).
