Basically it's an on-off button with some electric properties. You can find these on http://www.lefoo.com/products/lf20-extended-duty-pressure-switch-(05-150-psi)-ID66.html. It works perfectly on 12v.

Does backing out the adjustment screw lower or raise the pressure limit? How low is the switch able to go?

Backing out the screw lowers the switch point pressure. I have mine set to about 2PSI.

Does this switch come on or go off at 20psi? If its below 20psi or above?

If like mine it has three terminals and you can set it to open one way or close the other way.

Will this fit a Generac 8wk generator?

Its going to fit if you have room and the thread is the same size. Check the switch dimensions and thread of your original switch. It's just a simple NC or NO switch so your only concern would be room to jam it in there.

Is this switch N.C. or N.O.? I went to the mfg website and checked. Different configurations are available so that was of no help. Thanks

There are 3 pins to connect 2. Each pair of 2 gives either a NO or a NC.

how do you adjust the working pressure?

By ajusting the spring adjusting screw on the top of the switch for whicjh U need to remove the cap on the top.

The LF20-531110-20psi pressure switch is an adjustable DPST switch with a pressure range of 2-20psi. It has three terminals which allow it to be set to open one way or close the other way. It has both Normally Open and Normally Closed contacts and works perfectly on 12v. The pressure can be adjusted by adjusting the spring adjusting screw on the top of the switch. It has an inlet port of 1/8" NPT. Customers have used it for a variety of applications including sensing water pressure for an alarm system, as an oil pressure alarm for a VW car, and as a water heater circuit to kick the elements off in case the water pressure drops.
