Do you have to access the internet to solve clues? I am hoping to bring it on a cruise

No need for internet at all. I specifically designed them so people can do them tech free- just good old fashioned detective work. Have fun on your cruise!!

How to I begin solving the codes?

You should be able to read the different materials in the case file and they will guide you to solve the clues. If you get stuck email Christine. She is good about responding in a timely manner.

How do you solve the other two letters from 1987?

Look at starting it from a different angle.

Can this be played in one evening or is it more a multiple days' event?

One evening, for sure. It was created to be solved in 1-2 hours. I designed it originally to give the feel of an immersive cozy mystery novel. Then broadened my games to include puzzles to kick game night up a notch.

Can you only play it once?

When you get the case file, there are a few puzzle ciphers that need to be decoded... you can either decode it to scrap paper or make copies of them, when you are done, you can pass it on to someone else to play. Or - you can always email the owner (me) and I can email those puzzle pages to you to print out. It can be shared over and over.... :-)

Can this game be played multiple times, or is it a one time thing? Thanks!

It's a one-time thing if played with the same people... our idea is to play with different people at different times (without sharing the clues) and then 'pay it forward' by giving to our friends who will also enjoy playing it. It is FUN!!!! I think well-worth the $$ as it is less than a dinner for two out at a restaurant. Very enjoyable.

There are a tons of pieces of evidence to be honest. From interviews to photos and actual forensic evidence and witness accounts.
