Do you have to reprogram the Node 400 after changing the batteries?

You only need to reprogram the time of day after changing the batteries on a Node 400.

What is the yellow wire for on the single station solenoid connections?

The yellow wire is not used unless you have a moisture sensor to connect to it. If you do not have a sensor, do not cut the yellow wire.

How many 9V batteries does this model hold?

It holds 2 batteries. You can use one, but for a whole watering season, it is recommended to use two to prevent battery replacement in the middle of the season.

Can I use a couple of these to replace my controller if the underground wire is broken?

Yes, you can use one for each zone or each current control valve that you have.

The Hunter NODE100 Single-Station Controller is an efficient irrigation control system that is easy to set up and use, and comes with a mounting bracket for easy installation. It can be used as a replacement for existing controllers, or as a stand-alone system. Its plastic parts are used to angle the node, harness the node to the valve or to attach the valve to one of the in or out pipes. It requires two 9-volt batteries and comes with flexible scheduling and easy programming. It is also available in other models with Bluetooth connectivity to control from a smart phone.
