Question : After the tester is connected to a poe switch and shows to voltage does this tester have a mac address I can trace?
Answer : No, it merely shows the voltage and current. It is a hardware level test. It is not actually a device on the network.
Question : Is there a manual for the Gen2? Will it tell what standard and which pairs are being used for power by a device?
Answer : Yes, we provide a manual for the product. If power is being sent on all four pairs, the screen will display Mode A + B. Answer : This device is for checking the supply voltage of the POE wiring, to see if the voltage is correct or if the line to be checked has any induced voltage.
