It can detect IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at, 24 Volt Passive, and Reverse Polarity Mode B for Cambium and Canopy.

Can this measure 12vdc poe?

Yes, this tester can measure 12 volts on the DC connection, or the RJ45 power input.

What is the range of voltage and current it can measure?

Increased testing range measures DC power supply voltages from 3.5 to 56 volts and current up to 280 watts at 56 volts.

After the tester is connected to a poe switch and shows to voltage does this tester have a mac address I can trace?

No, it merely shows the voltage and current. It is a hardware level test. It is not actually a device on the network.

Is there a manual for the Gen2? Will it tell what standard and which pairs are being used for power by a device?

Yes, we provide a manual for the product. If power is being sent on all four pairs, the screen will display Mode A + B. So I should be able to plug this into a switch and see voltage? Without going inline?

This device is for checking the supply voltage of the POE wiring, to see if the voltage is correct or if the line to be checked has any induced voltage.

We purchased a gen 2 poe tester and it works well for our requirement. i need to ship it from salem nh > dubai.what is the hs code for the tester pls?
