Generically speaking, your 5/16" chain is 9mm, it the gaps are 10mm (3/8") Based on that information, your chain should easily fit into the padlock.

Will it work with 1/2 Square chain 13mm

This is made for the 3/8" or 5/16" Chain 1/2" will be to big of a diameter to fit.

Is the keyhole drill proof? Some lock have a spinning mechanism to defeat drilling.

I do not believe its drill proof. It would probably go through a few bits before anyone was successful. This is designed to be "Practically impossible to grip with burglary tools".

can I buy 3 locks with the same keys?

Unfortunately No, these are random keyed lock

How wide in millimeters is each slot? Also how thick in millimeters is the rod?

The slots are approximately 11 mm wide, to be able to easily accommodate links of 3/8" Square Link Security chain. The center rod is approximately 15 mm

Will this work with the smaller 1/4 inch ( 9/32) Pewag chain?

The Viro 4125 Panzer padlock is a heavy-duty lock designed to be used with 3/8" or 5/16" chain links. According to the FAQ, it is not drill-proof but is practically impossible to grip with burglary tools. Customers have mentioned that it is built like a tank, very strong, scratch-proof and should be rated as mil-spec. It works perfectly with Vulcan security chains and fits Abus 5/16” chains. One reviewer used it as an additional lock on his Vulcan 5/16 9’ hardened chain and lock combo. However, there was one negative review that reported the lock was easily drilled through. Unfortunately, these locks are randomly keyed, and customers cannot buy multiple locks with the same keys.
