Though I have not tried one, the foot pedal from other welders that share the same CT520D series model designation should work as long as it has the 5 Pin connector. One example being the offering from Lotos. You may want to contact Primeweld before actually hooking one up.

Does this come with power cord and what kind? There are conflicting answers on here.

Yes and it's 5mm to the 2nd power.. In other words #10 awg . It's about 5' long, can be wire for 120v or 240v.. Mine has always been wired for 240volt that way I can switch between welder and plasma cutter.. You will need to furnish the male plug end..

Does is this unit have a pilot arc function for the plasma cutter?

Yes the ct520dp has the pilot arc, the ct520d has the scratch start.

What is the difference between ct520dP and ct520D ?

The 520 DP model starts the plasma cutter arc without touching the torch tip to the work surface. Prolongs the torch consumable life, can start cutting on dirty, painted and similar surfaces, cuts materials / surfaces with gaps (like expanded metal) and keeps the arc going even if you don't hold torch distance precisely from the work surface. Pilot arc machines are frequently more robust in design. It's worth the small diff in price for this one, IMO. I've been satisfied with my Primeweld CT520DP.
