The Garmin Friction Mount is a great addition for those who want to keep their GPS device nearby without obstructing the windshield view. With a high level of friction, it is designed to stay in place on most surfaces. The mount has a plastic ball joint which can be adjusted to different angles to give you the best viewing angle for your GPS. There's no installation required, simply place it on the dashboard. The mount also helps prevent any damage to your GPS that can happen due to bouncing around the car. This mount is ideal for those who frequently switch their autos as it is unlikely to lose its grip on any surface, but there are concerns that it may not stay reliable/safe on a 45 degree flat dash.
