They do not have straps. This is just a super smell good pillow

I've used the washer and dryer. Once dry smells comes back just as strong

I see no reason why this pillow wouldn’t be appropriate for either a boy or a girl. The kids love this pillow and even after washing it smells good enough to EAT.

No. They feel like normal stuffed pillows.
