Answer : Yes, essential oils can be used on these laundry balls if you choose to add any sort of scent.

Answer : Cotton, nylon, spandex, neoprene, and micro fibers can be dried without leaving a residue on materials.
Question : How many dryer balls should be used per load?
Answer : For larger loads, use all six wool balls for dryer. For smaller loads, use three.
Question : Are they noisy?
Answer : They bounce around. Not as loud as a sneaker or something like that. But they do make noise. My laundry has a door so it doesn't bother.

Answer : This is one time I’m thinking not made in America. That’s a good thing— as sheep need pasture lands to graze— and are better suited to be from places like Australia or the Middle East. The balls are perfect

Answer : I've only used mine a few times. I haven't had any trouble. If there is any transference of color/lint I would expect the balls to get dingy over time. (Not the clothes from the balls) There are instructions on how to take care of the dryer balls when needed too though so that should help.
Question : Question for the seller: How is the wool harvested? Is it humane? Is it sheeps wool?
Answer : Simple Natural Products Wool Dryer Balls are made from New Zealand sheep's wool. The shearing process is typically done by hand and the animal's welfare is a top priority for both the farmer & sheerer.
Question : Does anyone know how to eliminate the static? Has anyone tried adding a safety pin to the ball? If so, does it catch on your fabrics?
Answer : I'm a novice at this. So have encountered the static but not sure if my solution will work. I put each ball in a old white sock and washed with other white towels and then put them in the dryer alone on the highest heat for 30 minutes or so. Hoping the static electricity will be eliminated.
Question : Do the balls makes towels soft? I never use fabric softener. Ever.
Answer : I don't notice much difference between dryer sheets & dryer balls when drying towels. The only things I use dryer sheets for are throw rugs with rubber backs.
Question : Are these cruelty-free?
Answer : Wool is not known to be gotten in a cruel manner
Question : Do they need to “air dry” before being used again as I read with a different product?
Answer : I don't air dry them; I just leave them in the dryer from one load to the next. Should pilling occur, instructions on how to care for them are on the back of the cloth bag in which the dryer balls come.
Question : Can you Mix These with some plastic ones I already have to avoid static
Answer : Use the plastic ones in your washing machine.
Question : What is the best way to dispose of these when they need to be replaced?
Answer : I have only used 4 times so don't have an answer.
