We have the large size. I do not think it would pick up acorns…tines of gatherer would be too far apart to hold them. Check on small or medium size nut gatherer.

Can this pick up Tennis balls

It can pick up large walnuts. It might be able to do tennis balls too.

How many walnuts can the basket hold?

We roll it over the walnuts until it won’t pick up anymore…dump n start over! Maybe 5-7 lbs Hope this helps!!

I have hickory nut cuttings from the squirrels that cover my deck. Has anyone used these for picking up the small cuttings?

I have the one for picking up walnuts and it works great. I am not sure if it would work on small hickory nut cuttings. However, I believe they sell smaller sizes for picking up smaller nuts which you might want to research.

Medium for walnuts? We have the medium ones for our pecans. We are going to start growing walnuts as well. Will our current medium ones work or no?

I bought the large for walnuts and it works well. If you are picking them up after the outer casing is off then the medium would work. I have a lot to pick up so the large holds more as well as picks them up easily.

No, this product comes assembled.

I would recommend the large. Too big in this case would be ok..too small however is not an option.
