Can I measure human body temperature accurately with this?

I shoot it at my friends in the shop all the Time unless u put it directly in your mouth it will read body temp as about 90

Does it work for body temperature?

It will report the skin temperature where you point it, though that is not at all the same as the internal body temperature. If that is what you want you should get one made for that purpose.

Does it have a lock on, hands free so it can be mounted on a stand?

The 59 Max does not have a trigger lock.

Can this thermometer be used to check the temperature of boiling liquids, such as water or cooking oil accurately?

You can measure the liquid temperature, but you need to realize you are taking surface temperatures. The temperature of a liquid below the surface might be different.

Is there a holster or carry case for this available?

I did not receive one with this meter, I'm sure there are cases available from fluke or other after markets.

The Fluke 59 MAX+ is an infrared thermometer that measures temperatures from -30°C to 500°C. It has a 10:1 spot ratio, is made in China, and does not have a trigger lock. It can measure liquid temperatures, but surface temperatures only. The thermometer is not ideal for measuring human body temperature accurately but reports skin temperature. The manual is difficult to use because of the lack of text. Customers reported perfect accuracy, solid and ergonomic design, and upgrade from other cheaper thermometers. However, some customers experienced inaccuracies and had difficulty understanding the manual.
