watts=volts X amps, watts/volts=amps, etc. more info required. 1000w at what voltage? is there an inverter involved? if so what is its effieceny/loss % ? if fully charged these batteries have 700 amp hours (4x175) @ 12 volts.if it is a 12 volt 1000 watt bulb then it will draw 83 amps per hour (1000w/12v=83a)700 amp hours / 83 amps needed per hour = 8.4 hours of run time.If it is a 120 volt bulb just re-do the math and subtract the percentage of inverter loss.

For a camper would these are deep cell batteries be better for the solar?

Based on my experience with an off grid cabin, I would recommend these batteries for any Solar Power System. I would highly recommend calling Vmax and asking to speak with a technical representative before making a final decision.
