The Wesco 272018 Deheader with Plastic Hand Grip is a tool that allows you to cut the top of a steel drum and retain the folded rim for strength. The tool cuts the top inside if the rolled rim leaving the rolled rim intact, and it can leave sharp edges on the inside of the folded rim. The deheader is like a giant can opener. Part of it looks on the outside of the rim, and you push the handle down and a blade cuts a small section on the inner side of the rim. Scoot the tool forward and repeat.
