The expiry date on the product depends on the bottle you receive. The new bottles we received about a month ago had an expiration date of October 2017. The product is the same, there is just an old and new labeling available.

Is the green tea decaffeinated?

No, it is not. The Green Tea contains caffeine, but there is a rather small amount of this ingredient per serving so we have not had any issue with the caffeine effecting the typical pet. If your dog is highly sensitive to caffeine, we would recommend having your vet take a look!

Why is the label different than the one on the Ocuglow website? Is this the same product?

OcuGlo used to be available by prescription only, hence the Rx. Now that it is available without a prescription the Rx is being removed from the new label. Same product with or without the Rx. We have been told that the manufacturer will start to ship the new label product soon.

The expiration date on the item could vary, depending on when you receive it. The new bottles we received about a month ago had an expiration date of October 2017.

How do you feed it to a smaller dog which is just one pound under of recommended daily pill dose?

They offer two doses - 10 and under and over 10. The capsules for the 10 and under are smaller. You can double up on the smaller dose. If you have any concerns about the dosage, please consult your vet.

Ocu-Glo Rx Vision Supplement is a blend of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and Omega-3 fatty acids to protect and prolong canine eyesight. It contains grape seed extract, green tea extract, lycopene, lutein extract and multiple vitamins. The mix of ingredients is designed to help protect the eyes from damage and to improve or maintain the health and function of the retina. The gelcaps come in two doses, small (for dogs under 10 pounds) and medium/large (for dogs over 10 pounds), but those with dogs in between are left in a difficult situation. The gelcaps can be broken open, but the bitter taste and unappetizing appearance require creativity to administer.
