The Buffalo DriveStation Quad 4-Drive Desktop DAS 24 TB is a hardware RAID array that provides fast and reliable storage. Users can set up RAID 0, 1, 5, or 10 configurations. The setup is easy, and it has been tested to work with both OSX and Windows. However, it hasn’t been tested with any Linux distribution and there is no configuration software available for Linux. It is not designed as a portable device, and there is no carrying case available for it. It is ideal for local backups, and the performance is fast and versatile. It is worth noting that in RAID 5 mode, it maxes out at about USB 2.0 speeds, even when connected to a USB 3.0 port.
