The unit operates best in pools that are sized at 15,000 gallons. However, you can adjust the unit to operate optimally for pools that are smaller. Despite some challenges like the short lifespan of the cell, which requires replacement after about a year and a half, and the huge plug on the cell wire, the Hayward W3AQR3 Pool Salt System offers excellent service to pool owners.
