You want the power directly from the battery, through the fuse, then to relay leg 30. If you want the accessory to only come on with the ignition, power the switch from ignition power, to the relay leg 86.

Yes, you can connect gauge circuits, lighting circuits, radios, etc. to this fuse/relay box.

Do the red and black wires go on the fuse? Does it need to be grounded?

Only the red wire connects through the fuse. The ground from the relay goes directly to ground, not through a fuse.

What are the max amps on the connectors supplied?

The maximum amperage is 40 amps with the fuse at 30 amps.

How do you get power from the battery to the box?

Nothing on this fuse/relay box is prewired. You need to figure out how to distribute battery power to each of the fuses.

The cover has a water tight seal. All the wires have to go through the back. You put your wire through a small seal, then crimp on a connector, then install it in the back of the box.
