My dental hygienist recommended it. I am in my 70's and had both hips replaced. The importance of keeping my gums and teeth healthy is vital to the health of my hips! I use this Parodontax tooth paste twice daily. Have no problems or soreness, and my gums are doing fine. I do not believe it will cause any cavities or my dentist would never have let me use it!

Does this toothpaste create teeth stains?

I have not had any issues with that happening.

What are the active ingredients for this product?

From what I see it's the same as my Colgate or any other fluoride toothpaste, 0.15% fluoride. I don't see what ingredient helps the gums?

Does it contain sodium laurel sulfate?

It is not listed as an 'Active Ingredient' on the packaging or tube, but I cannot, with certainty, say it’s not included. Hope this is helpful.
