I bought this for water hammer on my washing machine. It worked for several months, but the hammer is starting again. Defective or ??

I found I had the same problem, but I didn't remove the hammer device. Then after a few weeks everything settled down. Don't know if the Oately started working again or if the washer valves smoothed out.

A question for the manufacturer, or others. Is there any separation between the water and the air in the chamber. What's the typical life expectancy?

Yes, a rubber bladder separates the water from the air much like a pressure tank on a well pump. My absorbers have been in place for about 5 years without any problems.

Does this fit a LG front loading machine?

It fit my LG without any problem, but it did not work very well at solving the noise issue.

Does this model work on my dishwasher hot water supply line or do you have a different part number for that?

I have one on my hot water and one on my cold water for my washer. I would assume it would work for a dishwasher hot water line.

What is the maximum allowable working pressure on this product?

Is this a lead-free product? I want to install it on my water filter line.

It appears to be all copper and brass, but there is one soldered joint that may not be lead-free.
