The Fluke Networks 10210101 4-Wire in-Line Modular Adapter with K-Plug is a great tool for testing POTS lines and Cat5 cables. It is durable and practical, and saves the hassle of having to make up a cable for testing. However, it is important to note that the 4-Wire In-Line Modular Adapter has an RJ45 Jack, so if you need to test 8-wire cables, it might be better to get an 8-wire breakout adapter instead. The K-Plug version has reinforced jack clips and is more durable than the standard crimp on RJ-11 or RJ-45 plugs.
