Is the material truly clear so that a student can see what my lips are doing?

With the clear plastic mouthpiece, you can see the embouchure through the cup but the shank gets foggy and not as clear.

Are any of these compatible with 6.5 al small shank?

I bought this plastic mouthpiece to take on backpacking trips. It's light weight, small and I can keep my embouchure strong with out my trumpet.

What kind of plastic is the mouthpiece made from? Any latex in the mouthpiece?

I think it's lexan, but not being a chemist, not sure if that includes any latex or not. It's a very hard plastic, and I don't see how it could bother anyone with a latex allergy.

It seems to be a molded plastic but I can't tell you what type of plastic it is. It is durable. I used it for a mouthpiece on a homemade horn using the horn of a goat.

Is this product easy to use?

Not sure what you mean by 'easy,' but it's as easy as any other trumpet mouthpiece, and a lot more comfortable, especially in cold-weather situations. Some pros play on these b/c they're easier on the chops.
