The FIBARO The Button Z-Wave Plus Scene Controller On-Off Trigger is a compact and battery-powered device that allows you to control devices through the Z-Wave network. It is compatible with Z-Wave Plus, but not with Alexa, Philips Hue, or Apple HomeKit. It can be conveniently mounted on any surface and in any position or location at home. However, it is not waterproof and appropriate for kitchen use. While the battery life may be long and the setup may be easy, the device tends to fall asleep after a while and may not respond after the first button-press, sometimes requiring several presses to trigger an event. As for its reliability, the Consensus is that it is not Consistent. Some devices stop working after a few months, some have weak transmitters, and some have inConsistent pairing experiences and do not send parameters that the manufacturer indicates.
