Hello i cast small statues. can i add this to quickrete? how much liquid per pound of concrete. i hand mix...does it need mechanical mixers?

K100 can be added to quikrete at a dose of 2 oz per 1 bag of concrete (80 lb bag). It does work best when mixed with a drill mixer but hand mixing is fine as well, it will just take more time for it to react with the cement. We recommend using at least 10 lbs of cement per mix with 1 oz of K100, since in smaller batches k100 performance decreases.

Liquid Admixture

Kalmatron K100 Liquid Admixture is a clear/semi-transparent liquid that acts as a shrinkage reducer and a plasticizer for concrete. It does not affect the color of the concrete and is approved for use in structures that come in contact with food and potable water. It does not require curing for concrete elements over 2" thick. The admixture comes in a 54 oz. container, covering 27 cu. ft. The recommended dosage of K100 is 2 oz per cu. foot of concrete, and it works best when mixed with a drill mixer. However, hand mixing is also acceptable, though it will take longer for the admixture to react with the cement. For small batches, it is recommended to apply at a rate of 10 ounces for every 100 lbs of cement. It is suggested to use a Lithium silicate based sealer for finishing or polishing surfaces with KF-G.
