It is a 120-volt water heater that can maintain correctly-sized water containers unfrozen. The build quality of the product is decent, and users have found it useful in keeping water from freezing for the birds during the winter. However, some users have reported that the thermostat has failed, causing the water to be maintained at temperatures higher than they should be. Also, a few users have experienced a short-circuiting of the outlet when plugged in.
