The Carefree 902800 Black Automatic RV Awning Support is a great product that comes with everything needed for installation, including a back plate, cradle, rivets, installation template, etc. Customers appreciate that this product is easy to install, leveled their awning while stored, and kept it from bouncing. The support works well with both manual and automatic 12v awnings and can be used in the middle of an awning installed above patio doors. Customers are advised to install the brace according to the instructions, and to run screws into a stud to protect holes that are drilled in the side of an RV. The product is also versatile and works with all types of fiberglass, regardless of whether it is bowed or level. However, some customers wished that manufacturers would add this product to new RVs, and recommended sealing the penetrations with clear silicone to prevent water from getting in.
